After graduating from KSU in 1983, Mike held a superintendent position over slaughter operations with a major beef packer. He was lured back to the farm in 1988. Mike has two sons, ages 20 and 7, and has been actively involved their activities.
Mike feels serving as a director is an honor and an opportunity to participate and help govern a cooperative business that continues to grow and expand. As producers, we all understand the ever-changing challenges we face and the energy it takes to be successful. MKC faces those same challenges, with expansion, purchasing power, marketing of grain and the recruitment and retention of quality employees.
Mike believes in the past several years MKC has implemented progressive efforts to thrive and remain profitable for its members, a practice they employ in their own operation. He welcomes the opportunity to learn and provide input in this shared relationship.
